The Gallery
X Espacio is dedicated to the promotion and growth of Mexican contemporary artists. With a permanent address in Condesa in Mexico City, the gallery was founded in 2011, fueling on the creative innovation of its artists allowing the exchange of ideas and conversations to transcend Mexico’s borders. Since its opening, they’ve held over 50 solo and collective exhibitions and have showcased the work of their artists in art fairs in Bogota, Buenos Aires, Cartagena, Lima, Medellin, Mexico City, New York, Singapore, and Toronto. X Espacio has become a reference amongst collectors from around the world, for traveling abroad and hosting artists and curators as part of the development of a platform for creative projects, which aim to incite a critical and creative dialog as an integral part of their working process. X Espacio is not only a space for contemplation, they support criticism and research, welcoming the development of new talent and riskier projects which are rarely seen in commercial markets. Today, the gallery represents fifteen national and international artists which continue creating and shaping the contemporary art scene of one of the largest and most talked about art cities of the world.

Amidst the innumerable happenings of the Singapore Art Week 2017, The Singapore Contemporary Art Show made an equally successful comeback after its smashing debut last year in January. The weekend before, the expansive concrete hangar hosted a trade fair for holistic and naturopathic foods and medicines, and if ever you wondered about how the business side of the art world managed to remain largely veiled, then this is the curtain, abruptly pulled back.
